Workshop Rationale and Objectives:

Conventional wisdom in management has been that if you single-mindedly focus on the results to be achieved, every thing else falls in to line and the organization becomes healthy and productive. Nothing can be further from the truth in real life. More often than not, this approach of using results as the main yardstick of success creates problems in productivity, low morale, and employee turnover. A bigger issue is that this approach leads to a flawed, one-dimensional view about the role of the manager and this in turn serves to perpetuate the problem.

People don't go the extra mile for organizations; people go the extra mile for people, the ones who lead them effectively. Effective leadership requires a transformation in mindset and behaviour, from just professional competence to personal effectiveness and excellence.

This 3-day workshop will enable participants in:

Profile: Etsko Schuitema

Etsko Schuitema is the Managing Member of Schuitema Associates, South Africa , an established consultancy organization that specializes in organizational transformation through people growth. With a degree in Anthropology, Etsko's 20 years of research have resulted in the Leadership - Care and Growth Model.

Here in Pakistan , Etsko has conducted workshops, seminars and briefings for a number of leading organizations including GlaxoSmithKline, Bank Alfalah, TCS, Ufone, LUMS, Marriott Hotels, Aga Khan University, World Bank, GHQ Directorate (Pakistan Army), and many others.

In addition to his organizational consultancy and training activities, Etsko also currently teaches his unique approach at Cambridge University UK , and at a number of South African universities. He is the author of three books, "Beyond Management" in 1994, "Leadership - The Care and Growth Model" in 1998 and "Intent - Exploring the Core of Being Human" in 2004.
